3 ninja tricks for business travel (to be your most fascinating!)

Hello from the airport!

As I type this, I’m headed home after a few weeks of crisscrossing the country.

On my adventures, I learned a few new ninja moves for business travel.

Check out the quick video above I just did for you.

*Quick clarification on the video: I was so revved up to talk with you that I missed a small detail. TSA security considers peanut butter a LIQUID, not a solid. Here’s a quick photo from the airport, below. Imagine pouring out your peanut butter, here:

Sneak peek of the video:

» My favorite hotel “amenity”

When you’re confident and collected, you’ll make a positive first impression. That’s how to be your most fascinating.

A few MORE nifty tips for your next trip:

1. Decisions create stress, and stress ruins confidence.

Avoid big decisions on a trip, because stress withers your confidence. This includes mentally-intensive decisions (whether or not to hire someone) or small ones (how to get from hotel to meeting location).

Keep yourself in the zone, you’re more likely to captivate listeners.

2. Conserve your battery.

My buddy Chris Brogan taught me a smart principle for cellphones and laptops: A.B.C. (Always Be Charging). The same principle applies to YOU, and your personality. Your energy level is like a battery. Spend it wisely for tip-top performance.

It’s your responsibility to conserve your energy for its best and highest use.

3. Figure out what your body needs, and then prioritize that.

For me, sleep is precious. I try to go to bed in the Eastern time zone across the country (that’s 7 pm on the West Coast!). I do not do redeyes. My productivity rises in direct proportion to amount of sleep. Sleep might not be your “must-have,” but exercise or meditation might be.

Keep in touch with your body, so that your body can support YOU in staying focused.

With that, my friends… I’m off. Getting ready to apply my new travel tricks.

Au revoir!
