How to be 34% more confident (and fascinating!) in meetings

Imagine this. You’re in a BIG meeting at work.

You speak up to make a point. You clear your voice, and all eyes turn to you.
Suddenly you realize…

…everyone is fascinated. They’re listening to you, impressed by you, and focusing on what you’re saying.

So, how did you do it?

Here’s a quick glimpse at 7 different ways you can potentially earn your listener’s attention and respect in a meeting.

The key, of course, is to choose the approach that’s most authentic for you, so that you’re not perceived as fake, or forced.

Authenticity helps get your point across, (and gets respect). In fact, authenticity often matters more than your message itself.

Recently, my team and I conducted a training program with Unilever. (They’re the global consumer goods company behind brands such as Dove, Q-tips, Lipton, Ben & Jerry’s, and many others.)

Over the course of a few hours, we helped them understand their own high-performing advantages (the qualities that make them impressive).

We measured their confidence levels twice: before and after the exercise. Their confidence level increased by 34% after our high-performing team program.

How can you be perceived as both authentic AND fascinating?

Align your message with your personality’s own high-performing Advantages.

Fascinating fact from our research.

When you focus on your top two high-performing traits, you’re far more likely make a strong impression.

The good news: When you apply your top two Advantages in meetings, you feel more confident.

When you feel confident, your listener is more likely to feel confident in YOU. They’re more likely to listen, remember, and take action.

Now, the bad news: Every time you communicate, you’re either adding value or taking up space. Make sure you’re adding value, by applying your top qualities.

The ability to earn attention is a massive new competitive advantage.
On the other hand, the inability to earn attention is a massive DISADVANTAGE.

Your personality already has what you need to be fascinating and impressive.

When you lead a meeting, are you perceived as a high-performer? Do you earn respect in the room? Does your impression lead to referrals?

Prep for your next big meeting with this quick-n-easy guide.

Then get ready to pour yourself another coffee to celebrate a job well done.
