I'm of the secret weapon, and very comfortable in that skin. During job interviews, I notice how many interviewers will sit on the edge of their chairs, leaning forward, listening as I speak. However, some sit back with distain clearly visible on their faces. Of course, I know I'm pushing their buttons but it isn't a deliberate action by me; it's a side effect. Unfortunately, some of "them" have lost their tempers during the interview...why might this be so? Why would I be perceived as that kind of a threat? It's usually after I ask a series of atypical questions about business practices (challenging the status quo) that their 'reactions' become so dramatic. Secretly, I smile but it's also a disappointing reaction to observe in an interview setting.
Jeannette, If those are your primary and secondary traits then you are already combining the two. You fascinate by shaking things up in an understated way. With Rebellion, you probably don’t like to do the same routines over and over again. Try to come up with new and improved ways to do your daily tasks. Or research new business strategies that could make work more efficient. Combine it with Mystique by vetting your new ideas thoroughly before sharing them with others. Excellent question. With the Secret Weapon, you're more about effective problem solving than witty banter. Secret Weapons are creative in a non-flashy way and they usually prefer to do their work quietly. Unlike some other Rebellion personalities, a Secret Weapon doesn't usually like being the center of attention. In other words, Rebellion isn't just about being provocative or always coming up with witty remarks. You don't have to be funny all of the time in order to fascinate. You intrigue people with your ability to come up with carefully thought-out and creative solutions. People know that when you speak they should listen, because you don't just throw out random ideas. You make sure they're solid plans of action first. There's no shame in being a little mysterious in your communication style.
hi there, love this system. i have primary triggers mystique and rebellion, yet i find this combination really dichotomous when engaging people. mystique is a very natural one for me to lean into. rebellion is also very second nature but not on command. i feel quite un-witty most of the time and usually don't realize/note what i'm saying as especially witty or provocative. it's not until it generates response that i understand the "rebellious" way in which it lands or is received. any advice for the more awkward end of The Secret Weapon personality type? (btw excuse if this goes through twice, having computer issues!)

Hi Bart, It's not the opposite in terms of "You can't use it at all," it's just the Trigger that is the least effective for you to use in order to fascinate others. Everyone uses all of the 7 Triggers every day. Your dormant Trigger is just the one that isn't the most effective for you. So for example if your dormant was Alarm, you'd probably hate making spreadsheets and detail-oriented tasks. That doesn't mean you can't do them or your aren't good at them, it just means you're not operating at your highest and best level when you're doing those sorts of things.
