Every day, you’re in a battle for attention. You battle against a thousand shiny objects to earn your customer’s attention. If you can’t stand out, you can’t win. If you’re unwilling to stand out, don’t even bother trying. There are too many options, too many competitors willing to take your place.
You can stand out, and win the battle for attention, using your personality’s natural ability to fascinate your listener.
Fascination is an intense emotional focus.
When you fascinate a customer or co-worker, they become completely focused on YOU. They stop fidgeting and thinking about their to-do list. They become fully immersed in your message.
You achieve this intense emotional focus by understanding your personality’s unique Fascination Advantage.
This is the key to building authentic connections.
Our research shows that when you fascinate a prospect, you are more likely to earn respect, build trust, and sell products.
We each have a natural talent for attracting attention. You don’t have to fake it or rehearse it—it’s already there, hardwired into your personality. You just have to identify it and use it.
Once you understand your own Fascination Advantage, you can start to really hone it. (This is where things start getting fun.) You can refine and perfect your personal brand, instead of feeling overwhelmed and confused.
Once you get super clear on the value that you offer⎯ others can get clear on it, too.
Stand up for what makes you different, and better.
Understand what makes you outstanding.
Stand out, or don’t bother.

I find that your blog gives me great suggestions for "fascinating," and you have challenged me to really break down the ways that I personally fascinate others as well as the factors that help my business fascinate my clients! Thanks for the great information!
As a painting contractor, our mission is to fascinate or provide every client with quality work. I call it, "painting with Intentional Excellence." Our guarantee to "take your paint from Mediocre to Magnificent" is another way to say that you will be fascinated with the results. I like the word and what it implies. My clients will too!
This is great. One of my trainers told me to choose 3 words that i want to focus on on my blog and I just decided to let fascinate be one of them. I had chosen resonate for one of them but I think I will remove that with fascinate. I love your wisdom here.

The issue here, for me, is that I need to DESIRE the attention that comes after I decide to position myself as "outstanding." I need to see "making myself available" as a goal, not a negative by-product of standing up and speaking out. It's the same thing that happens to people in the entertainment industry. They get the fame and fortune they seek and then complain when the tabloids and paparazzi pry into their personal life. You can't have it both ways. If you stand up and make some noise and declare yourself to be "remarkable," you're going to be in the spotlight, and sometimes it's nicer under a big shady tree where no one knows you.
