How many emails did you receive today? Dozens? Hundreds? (Too many, right?) Even emails from co-workers can feel like spam.

You can also infuse just a little more personality into your emails, and avoid that nasty DELETE button, by applying the 7 Fascination Advantages.
How does your personality come across over email? Are you a creative visionary? Or a dignified thought leader? Are you streetwise? Or eloquent?
Your action for today: Before writing your next email, stop. Don’t just spew words. Review your Fascinate profile to determine which Advantage you should use.

Which Advantage do you most commonly use in email?
Dear author!
Dana and I LOVE your site!
We're writing in because Dana and myself tend to be "rockstar divas" in all of our business e-mails, we know what we want and we know how to get it! But we would love to hear if you have any tips on getting the rest of our office on-board!
Everyone in our office is so BoRINg!! Lol. We need them to lighten up and stop with the BCC already lol, just CC and keep it real!
This was a useful post and I think it is rather easy to see from the other comments as well that this post is well written and useful. I bookmarked this blog a while ago because of the useful content and I am never being disappointed. Keep up the good work.
Hi Andy: You're already on the right track by considering your audience, but here's how to take it up a notch: As a Maverick Leader, you'll want to excite with bold, out-of-the-box ideas (Rebellion) backed up by opinions of authority (Power). For example, "In the past we have done x with limited results. Looking forward, we must innovate by doing y, which will bring us a, b, and c." Make sense? We always love hearing a great application story.
Hey Sally, most of the time when I want to get stuff done I usually try to write messages considering what is important to the target audience. How does this tactic work with my archetype (maverick leader)?
Hi Charlotte! Excellent question. You're Rockstar persona is bold, artistic, and unorthodox. However, always keep your audience in mind. If your audience is craving Power, cultivate opinions of authority. Think about areas where you really shine and rally others behind a definitive action plan. For Alarm, you may want your audience to know the consequences if they don't take your advice, or keep them on a defined scheduled with clear outcomes. Keep us posted on your progress, we'd love to hear!
I love the idea of writing from my rockstar persona, but my target market seems to be stuck in alarm and power--my two weak spots. How to fascinate when types don't match?
